Deritend Industries has further strengthened its position as one of the UK’s leading efficiency and maintenance service providers by securing a contract win with a leading automotive manufacturer.

The flagship motor management contract will see the Midlands-based engineering firm provide ongoing maintenance services for MINI Plant Swindon, which produces body panels for MINI.

“This contract is a great victory for us,” said Andy Lord, Group Contracts Manager at Deritend, “and one that will serve to greatly enhance our profile in the automotive industry.

“The tender process was highly competitive, but we have a long and proven track record working on contracts of this nature which set us apart from the competition.”

As part of the new partnership, Deritend will be permanently stationing a member of staff at the Swindon facility, whose remit will be to undertake ongoing equipment analysis and general maintenance throughout the duration of the three year contract.

“By stationing an operative at the Swindon plant we are able to get under the skin of the business and truly understand their processes and way of working,” added Lord.

“When it comes to our customers, it’s not just about ‘troubleshooting’ and reacting to maintenance requirements, it is about proactively seeking to improve processes and driving efficiency across the board.”
