Environmental Policy

Deritend believes that all aspects of its operations should be carried out in such a way as to have a minimal adverse effect on the environment. The Company will control its activities in order to minimise the effect on the environment. In order to maintain these objectives the Company has an established environmental management system which has been certified to BS EN ISO 14001: 2004. This will provide a framework for setting and reviewing the following objectives and targets.

The key environmental objectives and targets are:

  • Minimisation of potential environmental impacts associated with the activities performed on the Company’s and Customer’s sites.
  • Ensuring adequate management and disposal of waste.
  • To develop environmental awareness and individual responsibility for environmental matters amongst employees at all levels.
  • To encourage full and effective consultation on environmental matters.
  • To provide all employees with the information, instruction and training required for working effectively in caring for the environment.

We will assess our activities, products and services with respect to the impact on the environment and endeavour to incorporate practical procedures and controls to prevent damage and pollution.

We will comply with relevant and appropriate environmental legislation and other applicable requirements and ensure continual improvement in environmental performance.

We will ensure that employees are aware of this policy and their individual responsibilities within it, by an appropriate programme of training and awareness.

This policy will be displayed at all our works and is available for download:
